NYC, Mr. Doodle

Walking in lower Manhattan, I saw a man in the distance wearing this interesting outfit and in a huddle with several others. As we approached, he left the group and proceeded to walk down the street across from us. I called out to him, he turned and leapt into this pose. Bingo!
Fortuitously, as he turned to me, he was walking behind graffiti and in front of graffiti. To top it all, most of the graffiti was black and white matching his doodles. The location could not have been better and the writing on the stickers resembled his doodles making me now wonder if writing is just controlled doodling.
My daughter recognized this image as Mr. Doodle and I soon discovered that he was a famous artist who has made his fortune doodling his entire house, contents and all. I contacted his office in London and was told he was in New York City commissioned by a hotel to do a wall. Next day we visited the hotel, explored its artwork, and naturally photographed the wall outside. See below.
