Sarasota Motorcycle Rally

“Tall and tan and young and lovely….. But each day as she walks to the sea, she looks straight ahead not at me…..”

Entering the intersection on my way to the annual motorcycle rally in downtown Sarasota, I sensed a photo opportunity. Only later, reviewing the photo, was I to fully appreciate what I was seeing.

Man in Orange T Shirt: His shirt advertises Harley Davidson, an appropriate background figure for a motorcycle rally.

Man in Black: A classic biker type, he is looking to left at an older man wearing a stars and stripes jacket,

Man in Flag Jacket: Probably another biker. Flags and guns tend to be popular preoccupations of bikers. He is looking to his left, possibly at the attractive young woman walking past.

Man in Rocky T Shirt: Head shaved, cool shades, large gold chain around his neck, Rocky T shirt, fashionable pants, flip flops, he is a tough-looking guy ready to take on anyone. He appears to be glaring at the man in flag, looking at his girl. His expression indicates back off! Not that she’s going anywhere; he’s holding her hand tightly.

Woman in Short Dress:  She too is informally but carefully dressed. Large sunglasses, hoop earrings, floral dress that shows a lot of arm and leg, left arm heavily tattooed, nail polish and flip flops. She appears super cool, aware that she’s being looked at but not looking at anyone.

Street Photographer:  He is dressed in a Safari hat, sun protective long-sleeved shirt and hiking pants. He is looking at everyone. Can’t see him other than to catch a glimpse of his mind from the photograph he chooses to take.
