NYC, True Love

Most visitors to New York City spend a few days seeing the iconic sights and then they leave. Living there however, exploring the neighborhoods, encountering children being walked to school, elders walking, talking, sitting on benches, shoppers walking by with loaded supermarket bags, people hurrying to church or synagogue, one experiences the real life of the city.
Opposite the Lincoln Center on Broadway are several restaurants and coffee shops. I was walking past one when I saw this couple. Are they on a date? I wondered. a sweet speculation. He was neatly but casually dressed in a dark blue shirt, short pants and sneakers. She was carefully attired in pink – dress, shawl and hat. She wasn’t wearing a wedding ring. I smiled. Never too old for romance.
When editing this photo, I saw the back of the waiter’s shirt, I knew I was right.
